With this notice, we inform you in accordance with Article 13 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) about the personal data you have provided and that we have collected.
Personal data is all data provided as long as it can be related to you.
The basis for the processing of your data is the consent to be given by you in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.
The information you provide during registration will be used for the organization and documentation of the FReDA User Conference 2025 and potential future project-related communication.
Furthermore, photographs and video recordings will be made during the FReDA User Conference 2025. These recordings may be used by the organisers of the conference to document the event as well as for public relations and advertising purposes and may be published in print and online media (e.g. on the website, in social media and press releases). Any recordings of the conference may be published in whole or in part (e.g. as an image section). If you do not wish to have your photo or video recorded, you can inform the organizers of this at any time during the conference.
Data and recordings will be stored for as long as is necessary for the aforementioned purposes and will be delated after a period of 6 months.
Personal data will only be passed on to other BiB employees and GESIS employees. Otherwise, we do not pass it on to third parties.
We have taken technical and organizational measures to ensure that we comply with data protection regulations. For us, the according technical infrastructure is provided by the Federal Information Technology Center as the central IT service provider for the federal administration, An der Küppe 2, 53225 Bonn.
In accordance with Articles 15 et seq. General Data Protection Regulation with regard to the data concerning you and if the conditions specified therein are met, you have the following rights vis-à-vis us: access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability. In addition, you can withdraw your consent at any time in accordance with Article 7(3) GDPR. The lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent until the revocation remains unaffected.
If you believe that there has been a breach of data protection regulations, you also have the right to contact the data protection supervisory authority – The Federal Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information, Graurheindorfer Str. 153, 53117 Bonn – regarding the processing of your personal data and to lodge a complaint (Article 77 GDPR).
